Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. CONTEST BEGINS AT 6:00 AM (PT) ON WEDNEDAY, APRIL 9, 2008 AND ENDS AT 1:59 PM (PT) ON FRIDAY, JULY 4, 2008 .
1. HOW TO ENTER: THIS ONLINE CONTEST CONSISTS OF TWO ELEMENTS, A GRAND SWEEPSTAKES AND TWELVE (12) WEEKLY CONTESTS. First Step- Complete official registration form available at http://www.johnsonsforyou.com/escape, click on "SIGN UP NOW" to register with Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Company Division of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc ("Sponsor"). No illegible, incomplete, forged or altered entries will be accepted. All entries become the exclusive property of Glam, Inc. ("Glam") and will not be returned.
TO ENTER THE GRAND PRIZE SWEEPSTAKES: Each registrant will automatically receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry upon registration. Registrant may obtain one (1) additional Sweepstakes entry per week as part of each of the twelve Weekly Contests by either (a) entering a question in the Weekly Contests (see below) or (b) voting in the Weekly Contest (see below). Limit: each registrant is limited to a total of two (2) Sweepstakes entries during the week of registrant's registration: one (1) automatic (as described above) and one (1) earned either by entering that week's Weekly Contest or voting in such Weekly Contest, and thereafter one (1) additional entry in each of the remaining weeks of the Weekly Contests. Total number of possible Sweepstakes entries per registrant: up to thirteen (13) depending on when registrant initially registers.
TO ENTER THE WEEKLY CONTESTS: The theme for each Weekly Contest will be posted on http://www.johnsonsforyou.com/escape on Wednesday by 6:00 AM (PT) of each week. Submit a personal question based on that week's posted theme that you would like our panel of experts to answer by clicking on the "SUBMIT YOUR OWN" button. The question title cannot exceed 50 characters; the question summary cannot exceed 300 characters; the question in full cannot exceed 1200 characters. All entries must be submitted in English. Entries for a given Weekly Contest must be submitted by Wednesday of the following week no later than 5:59 AM (PT) to be considered for eligibility in that week's Weekly Contest (e.g., if the theme for a Weekly Contest is posted on 4/9/08, you must submit entry by 4/16/08 no later than 5:59 AM (PT)). Only questions meeting the Question Eligibility Guidelines ("Guidelines") set forth below and approved by Glam and Sponsor will be entered in the Weekly Contests. Appearance of question on website will be the only indication of approval. A question that does not meet all Guidelines and/or is not approved, will be ineligible and registrant will not receive a Sweepstakes entry for that submission. An approved question submission will result in the one (1) Sweepstakes entry for that week. An approved question submission may not be entered in subsequent Weekly Contests. Limit: there is no limit on the number of questions which can be submitted, but registrant will not receive additional Sweepstakes entries for additional eligible questions submitted for that week.
2. QUESTION ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES: All questions will be reviewed by Glam and/or Sponsor to determine question eligibility. Question eligibility is at the sole discretion of Glam and/or Sponsor. Any questions containing one or more of the items listed below will be considered ineligible for any Weekly Contest:
1) Any adverse event reports regarding use of Sponsor's products or devices, which will be directed to the Sponsor call center and handled in accordance with current Sponsor's policy;
2) Any reference to or depiction of Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies products, drugs or devices;
3) Any promotion of third-party branded products or devices;
4) Any use of third-party copyrighted or trademarked materials;
5) Any commercial solicitation or advertising;
6) Any use of profanity, sexually graphic, ethnically offensive or other offensive language, "off-color" material or similarly unacceptable language or material;
7) Any harassing, threatening, derogatory, defamatory, racist, abusive, hateful, violent or obscene language or material;
8) Any reference to the personal identity of the participant (including last name, e-mail address, phone number, age and/or geographical location) with the exception of the first name, last initial and college;
9) Any reference to personal information about others, including name or information that may be used to identify or locate another individual or that could otherwise be deemed to constitute invasion of another's privacy;
10) Liable, slander or defamation of character of participant or non-participant;
11) Any illegal statements, material or content;
12) Any political content or propaganda;
13) Any language that promotes drugs or alcohol, illegal or inappropriate activities or dangerous behavior that may result in harm to anyone reading the question;
14) Content that violates Sponsor's values;
15) Disclosure of trade secrets, confidential or privileged information;
16) Any language that promotes conduct or activities in violation of these Contest Rules; and/or
17) Any language Glam or Sponsor deem otherwise inappropriate.
3. VOTING: Questions for a given Weekly Contest will be posted for seven (7) days of that week, beginning Wednesday morning at 6:00 AM (PT) until Wednesday morning at 5:59 AM (PT) of the following week. Registrant may vote each day, but only once per question, per day. Registrant will receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry upon voting in a Weekly Contest (unless registrant has received a Sweepstakes entry for that week by submitting a question for that week), but no more than one (1) entry/week no matter how many times registrant votes or enters a question during that week.
4. SELECTION OF WINNERS:
GRAND PRIZE SWEEPSTAKES WINNER: Sweepstakes Winner will be determined from all eligible entries received in a random drawing, and will be notified by email, on or about July 7, 2008 by Popular Media, LLC, an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Award of prize is subject to Eligibility and Verification.
SELECTION OF WEEKLY CONTEST WINNERS: A Weekly Contest Winner will be the registrant whose eligible question received as of 5:00 PM (PT) on Friday of each week beginning on Friday, April 18, 2008 and ending Friday, July 4, 2008 the greatest number of votes in that week. If there is a tie for the greatest number of votes in any week, the winner will be chosen in a random drawing for among all such tying registrants. Weekly Contest Winners will be notified by email on or about the date that is one (1) week after the last voting day for that Weekly Contest. Award of prize is subject to Eligibility and Verification.
5. PRIZE AND ODDS: GRAND PRIZE SWEEPSTAKES: One (1) Grand Prize: A trip for four (4) to Rose Hall Resort & Country Club in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Trip includes: four (4) round trip coach tickets from any Air Jamaica gateway (New York JFK, Philadelphia, Baltimore/Washington, Chicago, Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles, or Toronto), two (2) double occupancy rooms on the European Plan package, and one (1) spa treatment per person. Grand Prize does not include: meals, drinks, excursions or any transportation other than airfare. Trip must be taken no later than June 30, 2009. All expenses not expressly covered in these rules are the sole responsibility of the winner including, but not limited to, tips, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and insurance. Winner and guests must travel together on same itinerary and each must have a current passport to travel to Jamaica. All travel arrangements including reservations at Rose Hall Resort & Country Club and airfare, will be coordinated through Glam and may be subject to availability, blackout dates, and other restrictions imposed by airlines and/or Rose Hall Resort & Country Club. If any guest is a minor, s/he must provide written consent of parent or legal guardian (unless guest is the child of winner). Approximate retail value ("ARV"): up to $7,200. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries per each registrant and the number of eligible entries received. Prize will be awarded (assuming sufficient number of eligible entries.)
WEEKLY PRIZES: Total of twelve (12) weekly prizes will be distributed, one (1) prize per week: A $75 SpaFinder gift certificate to be used to be used at the spa of the winner's choice that accepts such certificates; Johnson & Johnson Melt Away Stress products each valued at $4.99: Melt Away Stress Lotion, Melt Away Stress Massaging Moisturizer, Melt Away Stress Cream and Melt Away Stress Wash. ARV: $94.96. Total ARV for all prizes (including Sweepstakes prize): $8,339.52. Odds of winning a weekly prize depend upon the number of votes received per question in that week. Prizes will be awarded (assuming submission of votes). A Weekly Contest winner cannot receive more than one (1) weekly prize.
Sponsor reserves right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. No other substitution or transfer of prize permitted. Sponsor/Glam responsible only for prize delivery; not responsible for prize utility, quality or otherwise. Taxes and fees, if any, are the sole responsibility of prize winner.
6. ELIGIBILITY: Online Contest open to individual legal residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico and U.S. territories and possessions), who have attained the age of majority in their State of residence as of April 2, 2008 and have a current passport, except employees (and their immediate families and members of the same household) of Sponsor, Glam and their respective affiliates, agents, judges and advertising and promotion agencies.
7. VERIFICATION OF WINNERS AND DELIVERY OF PRIZE: Winners will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release and, where permitted, a publicity release. Trip guests must sign (or if a minor, their parent or legal guardian must sign) a travel/publicity release. Prizes may be awarded to alternate winner (and in the case of a Weekly Contest Winner, the alternate winner will be the registrant whose question received the second highest number of votes in that week) if affidavits/releases are not returned within five (5) days for Weekly Contest winners and fourteen (14) days for Sweepstakes winner after mailing to winner or if prize notifications or prizes are returned as undeliverable. Winners agree to use of name, address, likeness, and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation to the extent permitted by law, any such use with respect to minors to be subject to prior approval of parent or legal guardian.
8. GENERAL: This Online Contest is void outside the United States and where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. This Online Contest will be governed by the internal laws of the State of Delaware. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Online Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States of America. Sponsor, Glam and judges not responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, garbled, incomplete, misaddressed, postage due, or misdirected entries, mail or communications, for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications devices, or transmission lines or data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, loss or otherwise. Further, Sponsor, Glam and judges not responsible for electronic communications which are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind, or insufficient space in registrant's e-mail account to receive e-mail messages. The use of automated software or computer programs to register or to enter the Online Contest is prohibited and any individual who uses or attempts to use such methods to register or to enter will be disqualified. Each of Sponsor and Glam disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with, this Online Contest, and reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this Online Contest should any virus, bug, technical failures, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's or Glam's control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Online Contest. In the event of any such cancellation, termination or suspension, a notice will be posted and a random drawing will be held from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to such time. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any registrant (and his or her Online Contest entry) from this Online Contest or any other promotion conducted now or in the future by Sponsor or any of its affiliates if he or she tampers with the entry process or if his or her fraud or misconduct affects the integrity of the Online Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to correct clerical or typographical errors in promotional materials. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an on-line registrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized holder of the email account as of date of entry. An "authorized holder" means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. By participating in the Online Contest, each registrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of the judges and warrants that s/he is eligible to participate in the Online Contest. By accepting prize, winner agrees to release Sponsor, Glam and their respective directors, employees, officers, and agents, including without limitation, its advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with the awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities.
9. CAUTION. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN REGISTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS ONLINE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
10. Requests must be received by August 1, 2008. Winners list will be sent after selection of winner.
